Scouts, parents and friends,

This Tuesday, instead of our regular scout meeting, we will be meeting at The Haunted Mines - located at the Mining Museum - no later than 6:30.  The cost of tickets is dependent on how many people show up:

Less than 10 - $11 - please print coupon off of the web site below just in case.  Reg price is $13.00
10 to 25 - $10.00
Over 25 - $8.00

I will be there a little before 6:30 and will collect the EXACT AMOUNT (please be prepared for all prices above).  The Haunted Mines opens at 7:00.  Please get in line to enter the mines, not the ticket line.  There will be no saving spots for late arrivals.  Everyone gets in line at the end when they arrive.  Last year, those in line at around 6:30 got in and out by around 8:00.  Arriving at 7:00 can mean an additional 1 to 1 1/2 hours to get through.  I will collect your money while you are in line and then go purchase tickets at the group price from the will call window.  Last year, we were a few people shy of 25, so I went through the line and collected money from others in line to get the 25 minimum.

All siblings are well as friends are welcome and can participate in the discounted price.  This is one of the better haunted houses in area and gets better every year.  Bring cash, you will not be able to use scout account funds for this event and checks are not accepted.

Dress warmly for the conditions.  We wait outside and you will be walking through lightly protected or open air areas. The line moves slowly because of every other VIP group merging in at the front of the line.

Parents, this is a lightly supervised event.  In general, you should plan on staying in the area (or better yet, go through the mines with your family!).  Parking is tight and getting in and out is not easy.

To get to the Haunted Mines in Colorado Springs, go to I-25 (North if entering at Briargate or Academy Blvd) exit 156A - the Gleneagle / North Gate exit.  Turn right and it is about .1 mile on the right. Just across from the United States Air Force Academy's north entrance. We're right there, on the East side of the highway. "225 North Gate Road". Down in all those big trees. See that spooky-looking red & white Victorian farmhouse? Yup, that's where you turn in. See those big old red barns? That's where you want to be. Follow the signs for parking.

We will still be attending as long as the Haunted Mine is open.  Please see the link below to check for closure due to weather.
